Immense, unusual and superb, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica crowns the capital's landscape, imposing its powerful outline.
The first stone was laid on June 16th 1875.
The basilica is supported by 83 pillars, 38 meters deep - 40 yards, holding the entire Montmartre hill.
